Here are the stats on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tor.com\/blogs\/2013\/08\/fiction-affliction-genre-benders-for-september\">genre-benders<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tor.com\/blogs\/2013\/08\/fiction-affliction-september-releases-in-urban-fantasy\">urban fantasy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Genre-benders seem to be where the newbies are. <strong>Five<\/strong> of the nineteen appear to be by first-time writers!<\/p>\n<p>Three in urban fantasy, too.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, there is hope.
